Rick was awesome! He showed up early and was extremely nice. Before he even started on my horse’s feet, he took the time to get to know her and let her get to know him as well. He was very personable and helpful. Anytime my horse jerked away or got uncomfortable, instead of getting mad, he just put her foot down and patted her and talked to her a bit until she calmed down. He did an amazing job on her shoes and was very “wallet friendly”. When he was done, he had me lunge her to make sure she was sound and nothing was wrong. Then he stayed for about 30 extra minutes and just talked to my friend and I. I would recommend Rick to anyone and everyone looking for a farrier. He takes the time to get to know your horse instead of just getting down to business and asking for money. He was absolutely amazing. On a scale of 1-10 I give him a 20!
Rick was there, Rick was cool.
Rick was wonderful and excellent! I have 5 miniature donkeys that I rescued and they were in terrible need of a farrier. He was wonderful with all of them and they are happy campers now! I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Rick. He was an answer to my prayers.
Rick is a amazing guy! I first met him in Utah when I called a random number that I found on a horse shoeing add turned out to be one of the best calls I have made. rick was able to take new horse of mine that had years of bad experiences and make her in to a horse that will fall asleep wall being shoed. he also gets to know all of his clients on a personal level. every where we went he rembered their name and how each of their horses reacted to different things he would then take time to talk with the owners about anything going on in their life’s any new fun rides they have been on and chit-chat not just show up do his thing an leave…
RECOMMEND for EVERYONE!
Rick has been taking care of our ponies/horses for almost 3 years. He treated my little foundered pony with great care and compassion. Rick gives me advice on the different aspects of care that my horses/ponies need and is a great help to me. Rick is always on time and I LOVE that fact he is willing to barter!
Rick was great with my horses and arrived on time for my appointment. My last farrier really messed up my horse’s feet (mis-matched angles, wrong sized shoes!) but Rick was able to get her sound and heading toward recovery. He called me back for an appointment the same day I called him and I was able to get him out within the week. He was nice, didn’t talk down to me (like other farriers sometimes do) and treated my horses nice. He didn’t charge me an arm & a leg either! :) I WOULD and DO recommend!
Called to have my horses trimmed, made an appointment, NO SHOW AND NO CALL……….. would not recommend.
Rick was able to come out quickly and treated my horses kindly, even the naughty one! He took the time to work with my horses and make shoing a good experience for them. He was a genuinely nice person who seems to really enjoy what he does. I recommend him to everyone!
